Hello! My name is Valerie Atkin, and I am the President of dkspecialties. Please allow me to tell you a little about myself, my promotional products company and our personal service mission.

I started my career in news broadcasting and theatre, and as a struggling artist I often found myself working more with the front office as opposed to in front of an audience. When I took over the responsibility of purchasing promotions and giveaways such as pens, cups, caps, and T-shirts for one of the radio stations I was appalled to find that the station was overpaying for these products; in many cases, the products were not of the quality we required or expected. The challenge was clear: Find quality products at a sensible price. To my delight, I enjoyed the search and found the suppliers that met my company's objectives. When discussing my new-found skill (and obsession) with friends, I was recruited by those who owned small businesses to assist them...and thus was born dkspecialties.
